I clock in on the machine every morning and say hello to the A.M team and LCD Sound-system blares from the deli as she waits and waits and waits for someone, something, or some space and I wait for our lives to regenerate and branch out of this place and be somewhere we want to be not this non-fiction real life purgatory that we're both stuck in it seems so we get high to pass the time we spend eager to feel alive Wes is out west now and every evening there's an emptiness inside this house but Three Man still spins from the corner of this room as Ty and I wait and wait and wait for some change for some presence to sustain and I wait for our hope to rejuvenate for simplistic days to feel ok be content where we fall asleep not dread the sun trying to gift us a better week but I can take any pain so we get by aging everyday inching us towards a better life snow lightly blankets the ground the earth is silent absorbing all the suburban sounds I reflect back to every winter spent with you as my soul waits and waits and waits for our hearts to intertwine forever in place and I wait
2.
good day sunshine the world's awake and so am I the world's awake and darling we are alive and I can write the several ways we choose to die everyday working towards a future we hope to like a future that should suffice and I want something more for you and I want something more for us if only could provide us happiness we'd be soulless but we are strong stronger than that we'll find a way crawl out of debt you're forced to take day by day the cost of paper will dissipate and I will write everyday until I die hoping someday these songs will lead to a better life a life that should suffice

I always thought that I’d die while I was young Curled up on the side of the road A freak accident, a simple mistake I could feel it in my bones, I don’t know why I saw my name in the headlines But I made it this far and I made it another year
4.
I want to know what it’s like to be sunlight When I woke you were lying there Your dads old sweater holding onto your shoulders Worn from the weather Threads still together The light touched your face through the blinds We’re alive Warm from the weather Hands still together I want to know what its like to be sunlight I feel the glow I feel it behind my eyes Pouring in
